Visit the lab

Whether you're a professional pianist or a student, we welcome your participation in this exciting research.

A lab visit offers a unique opportunity to experience piano performance in a research setting, complete with state-of-the-art sensing technology.

During your visit, you'll play while being equipped with our non-invasive sensors, contributing to our understanding of musical expression while potentially gaining insights into your own playing mechanics.

Host us

We can bring our research directly to your institution. Our mobile lab setup allows us to conduct studies at competitions, music schools, and conservatories.

This initiative helps us gather diverse data across different performance environments while making our research more accessible to the broader musical community.

Evaluate performance

We are seeking experienced musicians and pedagogues to evaluate piano performances recorded in our lab. Your expertise will help us quantify learning, and connect physiological measurements with artistic quality.

As an evaluator, you'll review audio recordings, video recordings, and performances played back using player piano technology.

Create with us

We're seeking creative storytellers to make our research accessible and meaningful to piano practitioners, educators, and the general public. At the fascinating intersection of art and science, our work offers unique opportunities for compelling narratives and educational content. As a collaborator, you'll help document our research journey, create engaging narratives about the human side of our scientific exploration, and develop accessible educational materials from our findings. Whether you're a science writer, documentary filmmaker, animation artist, or curriculum developer, we welcome your unique perspective.
